Why I Love Corrections and Why You Should Too!
As most of you are aware, I am a big fan of using visuals to instruct, educate, and illuminate. Given the constant barrage of financial media disinformation, our office feels compelled to provide some context for the long-term picture. While history may be an incomplete guide, its review serves us much better than wild speculation about future outcomes. Arguably, if we knew the future in advance, it would take the emotional sting out of the present. Perhaps we do? Our biggest takeaway from the illustration below is that humanity innovates and thrives after periods of intense stress. Just like exercise--our bodies adapt to the stressful environment and grow into stronger versions of ourselves--so do the wonderful companies of the world. They accept the challenge, adapt, and grow into stronger versions of themselves. Corrections are not to be feared. They should be embraced as an opportunity to take advantage of a temporary decline in an upward trajectory of our growth.
